Grappas
Grappas produced in Sardinia today are made from the distillation of selected marcs and their tastes and fragrances are similar to the grapes they are made from. There are excellent Cannonau, Vernaccia, Vermentino, Moscato and Malvasia grappas.
Fil’e Ferru
This brilliantly clear, white dry brandy, made from selected marcs, has a very high alcohol content. It owes its name to the traditional habit of using metal wire to mark the underground hiding places the distillate was stored in when production was illegal. Fil’e Ferru” can be flavoured with wild fennel seeds, honey and myrtle.
Myrtle
Berries from myrtle plants (indigenous to the Mediterranean area) are hand picked between November and January. The only ingredients used to prepare the infusion are myrtle berries, alcohol, water and sugar (or honey). No colouring agents, preservatives or natural aromas are added – there are no artificial ingredients in this product.
